Expense Camera Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 1, 2024
Aurora Apps / Daniel Steel ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile applications (the "Apps").
By using the Apps, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We do not process, store, or collect personal user data beyond what is necessary for app functionality. The only data collected is:
1.1. Automatically Collected Data
- Application Logs: We use Firebase to collect app performance logs, crash reports, and general analytics.
- Key Identifiers: We may store encrypted and securely stored unique identifiers to enable core app functionality.
1.2. Camera and Receipt Data
Expense Camera requires camera access to scan receipts. Receipt images and extracted data are stored locally on your device by default. If you enable cloud backup, this data is encrypted before being stored on our servers. Receipt processing is performed locally on your device.
1.3. Third-Party Services
The Apps may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Firebase for analytics and logging). These services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
2. How We Use Your Information
The limited data we collect is used to:
- Maintain and improve app performance.
- Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- Ensure secure authentication and app integrity.
- Process and store receipt data (locally on device).
- Provide cloud backup services (if enabled).
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
- We use Firebase to securely store app logs and key identifiers.
- All stored data is encrypted and protected using industry-standard security measures.
- We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law.
- Receipt data is processed and stored locally unless cloud backup is enabled.
4. User Rights & Control
Since we do not store personal user data, we do not provide account deletion requests. If you wish to remove any locally stored data, you can uninstall the App. For cloud-stored receipts, you can delete them through the app's settings.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Apps after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
